Chennai Light House

Chennai Light house is one of the few light houses in India which has LIFT to go top floor and have a sight seeing.

The entry ticket is Rs.20 and you are allowed to be in the top floor for 5-10 minutes if it's not crowded. There is a musuem also there in the ground floor which consists of Light House equipments. If you are really interested (?) you can have a look at that too.

Vandaloor Zoo (Click the pictures to see it bigger)

Vandaloor Zoo, said to be the biggest zoo in India which was started in late 1970 s. It is guaranteed to have each and every bird, animal found in Indian forests present here.
There is a lion safari which take you to the deep jungle through Bus and you will have the opportunity to see the lions in a much closer way , better than Discovery channel view. The following pictures of lion are taken from there.
The Entry ticket is Rs.20 plus the Lion safari costs another 20. It's worth to spend this money to pass your one day time. Tuesdays are holidays.

Another important thing is The White Tiger (It is n't Aravind Adiga's :)). If Statistics are not wrong, in India we have 100 white tigers, among them 10+ found in this zoo. There is really a big family of white Tigers here.
